Privacy

Short version: the calculators run in your browser, what you type stays on your device, and nothing you type is sent to us or anyone else.

What you type

Times, names, pay rates, balances and schedules are processed by code running in your browser. They are never uploaded. To keep your time card or timesheet between visits, each calculator saves what you typed in your browser’s local storage, on your device only, under names that start with wt:. You can remove it with the calculator’s “Clear all” button or by clearing this site’s data in your browser. The light or dark theme you choose is saved the same way.

Files you download

PDF, CSV and calendar (.ics) files are made in your browser and saved straight to your device. We never see them.

Visit statistics

We may count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or collect personal data such as your IP address for tracking; it counts page views, referring sites, countries and device types in aggregate.

Error notes

If a calculator fails because of a fault in our code, the page sends an anonymous note so we can fix it: which calculator, the kind of failure, the name of the error type and where in our code it happened. Our host (Cloudflare) adds the country the note came from. It never includes what you typed, the error’s message or anything that identifies you. Your IP address is used only for a moment, to stop one device sending too many notes, and isn’t stored. The notes are counted, not kept as a record of your visit.

No advertising yet

The site shows no ads today. If it does in future, this page will say so first, and what you type into a calculator will still never leave your device.

Messages you send us

If you use the contact or report form, your message, your e-mail address, your name if you give it and any files you attach are sent to our e-mail inbox as one e-mail, through Cloudflare (our host). The e-mail also says which page and browser it came from and the country Cloudflare saw. We use it only to reply and to fix problems, and delete it when it is no longer needed. Nothing from the form is stored on the website. Please don’t attach real pay slips or time cards with other people’s details; a screenshot with the names hidden is enough. The same applies if you e-mail us directly.
